Since 1995, TCS has consulted on, designed and/or delivered ground transportation training programs and procedures in dozens of locations across the United States. We bring professional training experience in virtually every passenger ground transportation mode including taxicab, limousine, paratransit, medical transportation, airport shuttle, on-airport bus service, motorcoach, tour and a variety of other modes. TCS Directly Trains Drivers / Staff
For example, in just one of our contracts with a municipal government, TCS has directly trained more than 1,000 drivers in all of this jurisdiction’s licensed for-hire transportation modes (taxicab, limousine, shuttle, paratransit and contract drivers). This project included training all existing drivers in the jurisdiction. The project has received consistently high ratings from participants as well as regulators. In this example, a new ordinance and an RFP contract award to TCS resulted in no new costs to the City for the program, as all costs are paid by the participants. In addition to driver training, TCS has also provided various training programs for managers and supervisors of transportation related organizations. TCS has packages of support materials or templates for most of our training modules. Available support materials include training DVDs, PowerPoint slides and participant’s guides. Many DVDs and other support materials can be used directly in driver and/or instructor training (see our web page for list of modules). For modules requiring local content, we also provide kits with sample information to facilitate program self-design and instructor training , and we can also provide custom design work.
TCS Custom Development, Consulting and
Auditing of Training and Driver Screening / Licensing Programs
TCS provides screening and training program custom design, auditing, and other services including consulting on driver selection and permitting / licensing, training content and delivery, testing and more. This work will be tailored to your level of need, from limited consultations to comprehensive design. Consultations can be via teleconferences or on-site visits, and can also be in conjunction with TCS Train-the-Trainer programs.
